National CFLG Forum
CFLG is a strategic framework that ensures children as the limelight of the development agenda and promotes child rights through good governance from the local level. It provides overall guidance to realize and mainstream the rights of children in local government systems, structures, policies and processes. It is regarded as a gift of the government for the children, and comprises of mainly three components; planning with the children, budgeting for the children and ensuring their meaningful participation at all the levels were children are concerned. Nepal government formally adopted CFLG with the endorsement of CFLG National strategy and Operational guidelines, 2068 B.S. The CFLG Implementation Guideline, 2021, and CFLG Declaration Procedure, 2022, endorsed by the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, serve as guiding documents for CFLG implementation at all levels of government.
National CFLG Forum was established in 2017 A.D. with the with a motive of strengthening civil society's engagement in mainstreaming the strategy and framework of CFLG, as per the adoption based on CFLG National Strategy and Operational Guidelines, 2068 ( with necessary amendment) at all the three levels of government.
